Who We Are
Shift Accessibility Contractors Ltd. is a general contracting company specializing in accessible and universal construction for homes and businesses throughout Calgary. We work directly with occupational therapists, homeowners, architects, and businesses to modify environments, making them accessible and more inclusive for people of all abilities!
We have just finished up an accessible bathroom remodel with Shift and they did a fantastic job! Thanks to Griffin and Josh for your wonderful planning and great ideas for this space. This is the second time we have had them in our home for accessibility changes and I would recommend them every time. Big thanks to Gordon, who was our point man taking care of everything on our project. He was professional, accommodating and a great communicator.

When we decided to install an elevator in our three-story home we spoke to several suppliers in Alberta about preparing the site in a unique setting. SHIFT Accessibility Contractors Ltd. was referred to us by several specialists and we were not disappointed. Site preparation and installation is key to the success of an after-build initiative and the team at SHIFT Accessibility was up for the challenge. I have delt with many contractors over the years and this group are at the top of their game. From the quotation process through excavation and development to managing external trades, scheduling, and city inspections, they did not miss a beat. In addition, we were provided “daily updates”. I have to say, SHIFT Accessibility really exceeded our expectations. Completion was on time and budget despite unforeseen complications.
Josh and Griffin are the dream contractors. Just like every other review that you'll see, these guys absolutely exceeded expectations beyond any measurable doubt. They were always on time, over the top considerate, they were responsive, they provided the highest level of service I've ever experienced with contractors, and they delivered a perfect end product that perfectly fit our needs. They designed and consulted on building and redeveloping a basement suite for us, and finished the work on time, under budget, and seamlessly. I recommend them to every friend and family member who needs a contractor, and would highly recommend them to any person who's on the fence about bringing them on. Shift accessibility will forever be my go-to when it comes to any kind of home remodeling, renovation, or building projects in the future!
